Wisdom Thoughts #237 – Change the World

change the world

“Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none.” –William Shakespeare

“Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.” –Lao Tzu

“Caring – about people, about things, about life – is an act of maturity.” –Tracy McMillan

“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.” –Dalai Lama

If you are a person of character and are observant, you will already have noticed that our country and the world have become less civilized. The news is negative. Character is in decline. World leaders stoop to name calling. Lies and divisiveness are prevalent because they are tolerated. Selfishness is the norm. Love and compassion are lacking. Life has gotten worse because humanity is behaving worse.

But people have the power to change the world even though they think otherwise. See incivility and lies for what they are – destructiveness. Choose to radiate unconditional love into the world. Choose kindness and goodness instead of hate and grumpiness. Choose to do little things to make your part of the world better through caring and compassion. Choose wholeness – which is coming together, healing, showing your good character and integrity, caring about the common good and the world as a whole, solving problems collectively, and making a positive difference. Together we can change the world.

With love for all, RP
