Have you ever noticed how life has an ebb and flow? Highs and lows? Sometimes fast, sometimes slow? We rarely do notice because we are caught up in the details of life. We see the trees but not the forest.
It can be good to stop occasionally and find a higher perspective from which to look at the flow of our life. To see the big picture… to look at where we’ve been and where we’re going.
In my “Seven Spiritual Choices for Success”, which is in Part 2 of my ebook Awakening to Wholeness, the first of the seven choices is the Choice of Life. Choosing to be an active participant in life, to engage fully in life, is important to see what we are accomplishing and to know our own happiness. And especially we need to live true to our purpose.
Purpose is important. Your first purpose in life, shared by all humans, is to experience life – its joys and sorrows, pleasures and pains, likes and dislikes, unity and separation, and the wonder of being human. The second purpose in life is your own unique purpose in serving others. You will naturally feel yourself pulled to your purpose… It is what you have talents for, think about, love to do, and have a strong instinctive calling to do. It is not something you talk yourself into through lots of conceptual analysis. It is something you know is right for you.
If you want to create the life you desire easily and wisely, you must come to know and align yourself with the wholeness of Life, for it is wholeness that you and all human beings desire most of all in the experience of life. Choose Life! In doing so, you choose and become one with the wholeness of Life, and that will bring you the health, happiness, and abundance that is inherent in it.
