Last week I attended a conference (workshop actually) called Launch Club Live, and it was part of Jeff Walker’s annual PLF Live event in Phoenix.
It was a great experience because Jeff and his team helped the attendees focus on becoming better as online marketing entrepreneurs. One of activities on the first day helped us learn from other entrepreneurs about how to improve our business or, as in my case, get clearer focus for launching a new business. As a result, I learned that I really need to “niche down” in the beginning to have greater focus on and clarity about my customer avatar. Since my whole prior career was in IT, and especially IT project management, I decided to focus initially on mindset training specifically for IT people.
Additionally, it is really important to network with other people doing similar things. During the second day, we did a really powerful networking exercise in which we boiled our message down to its essentials and then practiced meeting other individuals, giving them our “elevator pitch” about what we do, and looking for potential opportunities to work with them in the future.
It was a very enjoyable, informative, and valuable learning and networking experience.
I strongly encourage you to attend conferences and events for continued learning, breakthrough opportunities, and networking. If you are thinking about launching a business or launching online products, I also recommend Jeff Walker’s Product Launch Formula training, or you can learn about it in his book Launch.
