Do you believe in the Law of Attraction? I do, and I think it is very understandable once you come to understand universal consciousness, which is “non-local mind” to scientists and God to religious people. But there are many people who think it is “hogwash” because they have no basis for relating to it.
I have experienced the amazing powers of the law of attraction, and there are a large number of people who have documented stories of manifesting or miracles of all kinds. Many, of course, are related to spontaneous healings of cancer and other serious diseases.
One of my own stories has to do with my wife who was disabled for about 10 years with near-continuous migraines. With my research into wholeness, I discovered that I could send her thoughts (images) that really healed her if I thought of her as within me – that is inside my consciousness. After I began doing that daily, within a very short time she suddenly found a new doctor who was more positive and helpful. And soon after that, one of the pharmaceutical companies discovered a medication that helps prevent migraines. It worked for her, and I got my wife back and she got her life back.
If you want to read about stories of manifesting, I have the book for you. Right now I’m reading a new book when I find a little bit of time – usually a little before bedtime… Mind to Matter by Dawson Church. It is a very well written book, and the subtitle of the book is “The Astonishing Science of How Your Brain Creates Material Reality”. It covers most of the science that is now beginning to explain how thoughts become reality, and that science is very diverse and spanning many different fields of science. The book is a fascinating read.
Now there are stories in the book that are about energy healing. You might think that that is very different than the law of attraction which is based on our thoughts. But thoughts are a form of energy, and I believe that as thoughts (a form of conscious energy) pass from pure consciousness, outside of space and time, into the field of reality they become subtle energy and active in the process of conscious creation. As Church says, electromagnetic and energy fields are everywhere. So energy healing can be called a kind of manifesting.
If you would like to learn about how to manifest, I can recommend a couple of good books to you. For those of you who know of Mike Dooley and his famous “Notes from the Universe” emails, he is well known for his use of the phrase “thoughts become things”, which I used for the title of this post. He has several relevant books on the subject of thoughts becoming reality. I would recommend Leveraging the Universe which is a very fun read.
I would also recommend The Awakening Course by Joe Vitale. In it, he ties the manifesting process to his 4-stage process of awakening and to his ideas about becoming an awakened (spiritually enlightened) millionaire. Basically, it helps to have a framework or model of reality that supports your thoughts and manifesting power, and that’s what this book gives you. It’s a great book.
