What made me choose the path I’m on?

appreciate life, beauty, and other miracles

I got an email from Raghu in Canada who wrote…

Hello,
I would like to know what made you to take this path?  I know in today’s world there is so much of violence and treating others badly. Why cannot it all stop? Why the lies and not treating people well?

I tackled some of this in my email with the Subject “Wait… so all the bad stuff that happens is just part of some game?”. It’s a big subject.

But here’s what I replied…

Hi Raghu,

Yes, it’s sad how much bad stuff and negativity there is in the world right now. There seem to be cycles of good and bad and political cycles of selfishness and non-selfishness.

As for myself, I went through a period of intensive spiritual exploration and during that time, I had a calling of sorts. I woke up one night and had a very strong message in my awareness to “create wholeness in myself and share it with the world”. Now wholeness, which is alignment with infinite intelligence and connection to the world as a whole, is our natural state. But we have forgotten that, and yet our soul pushes us to return to wholeness.

Wholeness is the opposite of the violence, lies, and selfishness that we see so much in the world right now. True wholeness is the quality of being healthy in all aspects of self (body, mind, soul), relationships, environment, and society. True wholeness is the highest form of success, and it is based on holding love for the whole of Life. People have to grow in consciousness to seek and know true wholeness, but deep down that is what everyone seeks.

So, I am trying to share wholeness with the world, but I’ve learned that I have to begin by focusing on wholeness of the individual, which is more about healing and helping people find success, and feel good about themselves. Wholeness at the highest level is almost too big for people to relate to, too ideal, except as a concept. So spreading wholeness has to begin with individuals like you and I.

Thank you very much for your question. It’s a good question.

Regards,
Raymond Posch

I do think we need to have lots of conversations about wholeness at the level of individuals and also at the level of society or world. I will follow this with a post on wholeness in the individual.

I have also been thinking that it would be good to have a worldwide “Wholeness Project” to get people talking about it, sharing ideas about how to think and act more wholistically, and sharing stories of people or organizations that are good examples to follow. I’m not ready to push it quite yet, but what do you think?
